J-PARC is located along the Pacific Ocean, 125 km north of Tokyo. We are blessed with a warm climate and have a base in Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture, which is surrounded by rice fields, fields and forests. There is an experimental facility on the premises of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency, which is about 80 km from the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) in Tsukuba City.
