2011/03/25 Information for J-PARC users due to the earthquake    Latest update 2011/05/09 09:00

We would like to express our deep sympathy to the people suffering damage by the Tohoku-Chihou-Taiheiyo-Oki Earthquake.


User Support System has been restarted.
Please make necessary applications from User Portal as usual procedure. (2011/4/18 13:00)

(1) Visiting J-PARC

  • Entering the site
  • Only users who work for equipment construction are permitted to enter the site.
    Please fill in your contact person's name on the remarks column of "Application form to visit J-PARC" after getting on the permission from your contact person.
    You will not be allowed to enter without the permission. (2011/4/28 18:00)

    J-PARC contact persons are required to follow the procedure below in case users are asking J-PARC visit. (2011/4/28 18:00)
    • Required to get permission from safety division head for J-PARC visit scheduled until May 6th.
    • Required to get permission from facility manager for J-PARC visit scheduled after May 9th.

    User Support System is retrieval. Please Apply through User Support System. (2011/4/18 13:00)

    All applications to visit J-PARC submitted before March 11th and those are scheduled after April 1st will be all canceled. (2011/3/29 12:00)

  • Accommodation reservation

    • Tokai Dormitory
    User Support System is retrieval. Please make a reservation through the system. (2011/4/18 13:00)

    It is available to take a bath in all rooms since water heater has been repaired. (2011/4/7 12:00)

    The reservation has been restarted.
    Inquire your reservation request when you inform J-PARC visit. The reservation is unable to make through User Support system.
    Since hot water supply is not available in all rooms, you have to use designated rooms to take a bath. (2011/4/4 17:00)

    • Tokai Bunshitsu
    Since User Support System is retrieval, enter the request period when you submit application form to visit J-PARC. (2011/4/18 13:00)

    • Masago International Lodging
    Available for long term stay (more than 1month).
    Please enter your visit duration when you submit the form "Application form to visit J-PARC" from User Support System. (2011/4/26 15:00)

  • J-PARC shuttle bus situation
  • The timetable has been updated. (2011/5/9 9:00)

  • Collecting Glass badge
  • If you are keeping your glass badge with you, pack it well and send back to J-PARC Users Office.

  • Other borrowed items
  • In case you are keeping J-PARC User ID Card, J-PARC card, and PHS etc., please pack them well and send those back to J-PARC Users Office. (2011/3/25 17:00)

(2) Annual renewal of J-PARC User ID card and glass badge

  • J-PARC User ID Card
  • User Support system is out of service at the moment.
    All the applications including annual renewal that needs to be applied by User Support System are unable to apply.
    The Users need to visit J-PARC specially should contact J-PARC Users Office by e-mail. (j-uo@ml.j-parc.jp)

  • Glass badge
  • Annual renewal of Glass badge has been closed.
    J-PARC Users Office will reconfirm to the users who have asked annual renewal.
    Except those users who need to apply glass badge are required to contact J-PARC Users Office individually. (2011/3/25 17:00)

(3) About travel expense (Only KEK users)

  • Since User Support System is retrieval, applying travel expense through the system is available. (2011/4/18 13:00)

  • Please apply 2011(JFY) travel expense after resuming User Support System.
    After the fact applying is accepted. (2011/4/4 17:00)

  • Travel expense and cancelation charge of 2010(JFY) are scheduled to be transferred on April 25th. (2011/4/4 17:00)
